Prepare to head back to the Zone as the long wait for the next instalment in the Stalker series is coming to an end. For the first time since 2009, GSC Game World is bringing another horror title to its eager fanbase with the release of Stalker 2. There is plenty in store for the game, including when you purchase it, so here is everything you need to know about all of the Stalker 2 editions.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl is set to hit Xbox consoles and PCs around the world on September 5, which brings an end to a long array of delays and setbacks for the developers. The patience of the fan base is certainly being rewarded, starting with the content of the game's seven different editions.

Stalker 2 physical editions
Stalker 2 will come in both physical and digital forms, so whether you're a collector or someone who prefers to keep their games virtually, GDC Game World has you covered. The physical versions of Stalker 2 have four editions; Standard, Limited, Collector's, and Ultimate.
In the Standard Edition, you'll receive a copy of the game along with a steel book, a letter from the developers, a Souvenir Zone Permit, and a sticker pack. In the Limited Edition, you'll receive all of the previously listed contents as well as a zone map, poster, faction patches, a military token, and a keychain with a fire starter.
In the Collector's Edition, you'll receive all of the above contents as well as an art book and a detailed figurine of a Stalker. Finally, in the Ultimate Edition, you'll receive everything that is included in the three prior editions as well as an artefact container lamp and a branded Stalker backpack.
Stalker 2 digital editions
While the digital editions of the Stalker 2 game won't have all the swag that comes with buying a physical copy, there are still plenty of rewards to reap. The game has three different digital editions; Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate.
In the Standard Edition, you'll receive your copy of the Stalker 2 game along with some Steam-exclusive content. This content includes a dynamic theme, an animated avatar, and an avatar frame. If you get the Deluxe Edition, you'll receive the Steam content as well as a special extra quest, digital artbook, official soundtrack, one costume and three weapon skins for single-player, and two costumes and three weapon skins for the post-release multiplayer mode.
If you're planning to go all-out and grab the Stalker 2 Ultimate Edition, you can expect all of the above extras along with a couple of additional goodies. In the Ultimate Edition, you'll also receive two story expansions, as well as a Stalker 2 season pass.
The game may still be a little while away, but there is clearly a lot for fans of the Stalker franchise to be excited about with the amount of content coming with each edition.
