Where are the Phon'Qi caverns in Star Wars Jedi Survivor?
If you want to start exploring the caves, the first step you need to do is visit the Summit Meditation Point. This location gives you the easiest route through the caverns even though it's significantly higher than the alternatives.
Enter the elevator on the right-hand side and take the trip down the mountain. Leave the elevator and you'll come across a winged mount ready to fly you over the gap.
Clear out the small group of Bedlam Raiders towards the rear of the house then hit L2/LT to open up the path into the underground. It'd be smart to unlock the shortcut to the left of the house first, as you never know when you might need it at a later date. Then, make your way through another gap and find yourself in the Phon'Qi caverns.
Follow the path as it works through numerous tight gaps and you'll end up in an open area lit by blue plants that explode.
Move out of the area and turn to the right. You'll find a mechanism which you can lift up using R1 and Triangle/RT and Y. Drop down the gap and the bridge will come crashing down.

Utilise the walls and jump up to the other side of the bridge. Don't forget to use the wall runs on the left to gain a Skill Point from an essence point.
Taking on Rancor
With the bridge now broken, head down to the grapple point and follow the path further into the Phon'Qi caves. Eliminate the enemies before jumping onto the wall on the right-hand side. Next, use R1 and X/RT and A to send a structure crashing through the ground to open your next path.
Now, you'll encounter Rancor, a slow-moving enemy that packs a deadly punch if you're not careful. Try to avoid the unblockable attacks otherwise, Rancor will take you down in one hit.
How to earn Star Wars Jedi Survivor It's a Trap trophy and achievement
After defeating Rancor, you'll have a chance to earn the It's a Trap trophy or achievement. Head back and keep exploring the cave system. Eventually, you'll make your way down into a room with several opponents. Dispatch them quickly and keep moving forward into a room where another group of enemies equipped with lightsabers will attempt to stop you in your tracks.
Dealing with the enemies can prove a challenge. But, once you make it out alive, the 'It's a Trap' trophy or achievement will appear on your screen. Then you can return to the surface and continue the story.
You'll also receive a map upgrade that allows you to see unfound chests, stim upgrades, and BD-1 upgrades on your holomap.
How to move through purple blockages
Throughout the Phon-Qi caverns, there's plenty of mysterious purple blockages. If you're wondering how you can move through it, we've got you covered.
Stuck onto the walls are small glowing plants. Use the Force to pick them up and push them into the purple barries. As a result, they explode and the liquid inside them disintegrates the purple stuff that blocks the way. It's actually surprisingly simple.
