Stardew Valley is an enticing trip to the farming world where you will encounter a large set of practical agricultural tasks that will help you to develop your own, personal farm. It features a diverse range of game activities such as planting seeds, crop cultivation, and keeping livestock that aims to teach you the basics of farm management.
To even add more fun, developers have a vast array of crafting equipment for different purposes. One such equipment is a Dehydrator, which is a great help because it allows Stardew Valley players to turn their harvested fruits and mushrooms into dried artisan items.
However, purchasing a Dehydrator won't be like window shopping and picking something from the in-game store. Players are taken on a journey to collect the requisite materials and build the equipment by themselves. This guide is set to be a detailed process, providing you with a detailed walkthrough that will help you make a Dehydrator in Stardew Valley.
How to build Stardew Valley dehydrator
Building a Dehydrator could be a difficult task because you can not get it directly from the game shop. Instead, you will need to find its recipe first and then gather all the required resources.
How to Get the Dehydrator Recipe
To get the recipe, you will need to visit Pierre’s General Store which is located north of the town square. However, to get the recipe you will need to pay the price which is 10,000 gold coins making it quite expensive, so make sure to stack up enough coins before visiting the store.
Once you have obtained the recipe, you will need to gather the resources mentioned in the recipe. To build a dehydrator, you will need the following resources.
- 30 Woods
- 2 Clay
- 1 Fire Quartz
Thankfully, you can get Wood easily by chopping some trees or branches using an axe or alternatively, you can also purchase wood directly from Robin at the Carpenter’s Shop. Make sure to obtain enough Wood because it will take 30 Wood to build a dehydrator.
To get the second resource, Clay, you will need to mine some Clay Nodes present at Ginger Island Dig Site or you can also get Clay by cracking some Geodes. Lastly, Fire Quartz can be obtained from the mines in the Skull Cavern or you can also get it inside a Magma Geode or Omni Geode.
Once you have obtained all the ingredients, visit the Crafting Tab, select the dehydrator and then craft it from its resources. After crafting, you can place it on your farm for further use.
