Whether you're a farming pro or just starting, Stardew Valley provides plenty of chances to grow various crops each season. One standout is broccoli, a nutritious green vegetable that players can grow to make a profit.

But unlike most other crops, Broccoli can not be bought from Pierre’s General Store or JojaMart. Instead, you'll need to hunt to find its seeds scattered throughout Stardew Valley. Keep reading this guide to learn how to add Broccoli to your Fall harvest.

The only way to get Broccoli in Stardew Valley is to grow it using its seeds. One of the easiest ways to find Broccoli Seeds is to dig up Seed Spots, which appear as special green Artifact Spots around Stardew Valley, Calico Desert, and Ginger Island.

These spots resemble Artifact Spots, appear grass-like strands, and yield different seeds depending on the season. Broccoli Seeds appear between Summer 21 and Fall 20, so check for these spots during late summer and early fall.

Another reliable method to obtain Broccoli Seeds is by trading with Mrs. Raccoon, who opens a shop after you complete specific steps in the Raccoon questline. Once her shop is available, you can exchange five pieces of Moss for a single Broccoli Seed. You can gather moss from trees by hitting them with an Axe, Sword, or Scythe in any season except winter.

You can also find Broccoli Seeds by breaking open crates and barrels in the Skull Cavern from late summer to early fall. Alternatively, you can also try fishing up Golden Fishing Treasure Chests if you have unlocked Fishing Mastery.

While you can only plant Broccoli in the fall, it can grow year-round on Ginger Island or in the Greenhouse. Once planted, Broccoli takes eight days to mature. After that, it produces additional broccoli every four days.

To plant broccoli, select a tilled plot of soil and place Broccoli Seeds from your inventory. Once your broccoli is grown, you can use the Seed Maker to turn it into additional seeds for future planting.

Uses of Broccoli

Broccoli can be a profitable crop if used wisely. As you progress in the Farming skill, you unlock perks that boost its value. For example, the Tiller Profession at Level 5 increases Broccoli's price by 10%, while the Artisan Profession at Level 10 raises the value of Broccoli-based goods by 40%.

You can put Broccoli in a Preserves Jar to make Pickled Broccoli or use a Keg to make Broccoli Juice for even higher profits. Both sell for much more than regular Broccoli. Broccoli also makes a popular gift for most villagers. Plus, you can also use it for crafting and tailoring.
