Starfield's very first expansion, Shattered Space, brings its players to a remote planet called the Va'ruun'kai, where the city of Dazra is. Full of everything about Va'ruun, Dazra is where most of the DLC will happen.

Players who have purchased the Premium or Constellation editions of Starfield will already have access to the DLC, but considering that starting the DLC is not as simple as visiting a mission board, here's a quick guide on how to jumpstart your quest in Shattered Space DLC.

What You Need To Start The Starfield: Shattered Space DLC

Starfield players must own the DLC to start Shattered Space. If you have access to the game via Game Pass or you already purchased the base game, the DLC upgrade can be purchased via your preferred storefronts. If you have purchased either the Premium or Constellation editions of Starfield, you can access Shattered Space at no additional cost.

If you have the initial requirements above, it's time to get things going. Be sure to finish the first main quest, One Small Step, as it is also a hard requirement to trigger the events leading to the DLC. Shattered Space can also be accessed regardless of player level, but Bethesda recommends that you be at least level 35.

How To Start The DLC

To start the first DLC mission, What Remains, make sure you have no active missions. Proceed to do a grav jump towards any star system not tied to any missions or travel to a nearby planet if you are already within a star system unrelated to your existing missions.

Once you grav jump or warp, you will receive a distress call from a space station called The Oracle, and Sirak Veth'aal warns you not to board the ship.

Of course, boarding the ship is the way to go, so dock your ship and get ready to experience Starfield like never before.
