Pokémon Legends: Arceus lets players explore the vast expanse of Hisui, an ancient region that is set to later become Sinnoh. The title is not only introducing us to a new region, but new Pokémon, new ways of gathering items, and seamless battling.

As has been the case with traditional Pokémon games, Pokémon in Legends: Arceus can be impacted by status effects and conditions during battle. If you've ever played a Pokémon game before, you know that these will impact whether your Pokémon can move, and will sometimes damage their stats temporarily.

In the following guide, we've listed all status effects and conditions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and how to go about curing them. So, you can keep your Pokémon in the best shape for battle or combat the Alpha Pokémon and Noble Pokémon you may come against.

Paralysis

A Pokémon that is effected by Paralysis will have reduced speed and may be unable to perform their selected move. This will delay the Pokémon's turns, and can ultimately make them easier to catch if it is not cured quickly.

To prevent your Pokémon from being at a disadvantage, you can cure their Paralysis using a Cheri Berry, Lum Berry, Full Heal, or Full Restore.

Frostbite

A Pokémon that is effected by Frostbite will have some of its HP reduced after each turn taken, and it's Sp. Attack stats are reduced. If the battle is taking place in the snow, almost every Pokémon except Ice-types will be affected by this condition.

Players can cure their Pokémon of Frostbite using a Lum Berry, Aspear Berry, Full Heal, or Full Restore.

Drowsy

Instead of the Sleep status effect that we're used to from prior games, we now have the Drowsy status effect. When a Pokémon is in the Drowsy condition, they can fail to perform a move, receive additional damage, and will become easier to catch.

Players can also be effected by the Drowsy status effect, and this will cause them to be unable to move at times and to walk slowly. In an area rife with Pokémon, this can be pretty unsafe.

The Drowsy status effect can be cured with a Chesto Berry, Lum Berry, Full Heal, or Full Restore.

Poison

If a Pokémon is effected by Poison, they will lose some HP at the end of each turn, and wild Pokémon who are poisoned will be much easier to catch. Simultaneously, players can be poisoned too. While the effect quickly wears off, it slowly damages a player's health and can cause them to faint if not treated or repeatedly attacked.

A Poison status effect can be cured by a Pecha Berry, Lum Berry, Full Heal, or Full Restore.

Burn

A Pokémon that is effected by the Burn status effect will lose HP following every turn, and will have lowered Attack stats. If a wild Pokémon is effected, this will also make them easier to catch.

The Burn status effect can be cured with a Rawst Berry, Lum Berry, Full Heal, or Full Restore.

Unaware

Pokémon effected by the Unaware status effect run the risk of being unable to perform a move, although the chance is small. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can inflict a Pokémon with the condition before you go into battle by sneaking up on them stealthily and then throwing a Poké Ball at them.

There is no cure for this condition, and it is not a status effect your own party will be effected by. It's handy for starting a battle with a wild Pokémon at an advantage, though.

That's all there is to know about status effects, conditions, and how to cure them in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. In the meantime, we recommend checking out which rideable Pokémon you can use to traverse Hisui, how open-world Hisui really is, and finally, how different turn-based battles may be in the title.
