The Southern Zone in Synduality: Echo of Ada is where the real challenge begins. But getting there isn’t as simple as just jumping in.

You’ll need to prove you’ve got what it takes before the game lets you enter this tougher, more unpredictable area.

If you're wondering how to break through the barrier and step into the Southern Zone, you're in the right place.

Here’s what you need to do to access this new, more intense part of the world.

This zone shows you the basics to help you understand the game's work.

While you’re out on sorties, different Association Requests will start showing up.

The requests differ in difficulty and purpose, from taking out foes using specific weapons to retrieving missing items.

Once you get these done, you’ll be ready for whatever is coming.

Once you have checked off a few basic requests, your next big hurdle will be the Class B Drifter's License Exam.

This is the point where you can finally head into the Southern Zone. However, don’t expect this mission to unlock right off the bat.

You’ll need to finish several other requests first to get to it.

Once the Class B Drifter’s License Exam is up, you'll be sent back to the Northern Zone to handle some bandits.

This test aims to check if you can handle the tougher parts of the Southern Zone.

Don’t rush through the missions. Take your time to build up your skills and equipment for the exam.

Once you finish this exam, the Southern Zone and its challenges are all yours.

The Southern Zone is a different ballgame from the Northern Zone, both in geography and in terms of how it challenges you.

The Northern Zone keeps it simple for beginners, with easy-to-find areas and safe paths.

It’s a laid-back spot to catch on to the game’s mechanics. On the other hand, the Southern Zone has much trickier and riskier terrain.

It’s a long, winding strip rather than the circular layout of the Northern Zone.

This makes traveling through the zone take longer and demands better navigation skills.

The Southern Zone is also more rugged, so there’s not much shelter from the rain and plenty of open ground where enemies can ambush you.

You can’t let your guard down because danger’s always around.

Large bodies of water can instantly destroy your mech, and there are sheer drops that can cause you to plummet to your death with just a misstep.

Even so, the risk pays off for players ready for it, as this zone holds rare materials essential for upgrading your gear and leveling up your mechs.
