If you’re jumping into Tales of Graces f Remastered for the first time or returning to Asbel and his crew, prepare for an epic adventure.

The game delivers on everything, from fast combat to fantastic character moments, though it can be tricky for beginners.

This guide will show you some helpful tips and tricks to get the most out of your experience.

Getting the Hang of Tales of Graces F Remastered? Start Here

Tales of Graces f Remastered is a top-notch action RPG with action-packed battles, excellent character arcs, and a compelling story.

The difficulty is there, but it’s all in how you play it. Combat-wise, the game isn't too hard once you get the hang of its mechanics.

The battle system is real-time, meaning you have to think on your feet and manage things like CC (Combat Capacity), dodging, and combos.

Early on, it may feel overwhelming because there are a lot of systems to juggle, especially if you're new to the series or action RPGs.

But once you master the basics, such as dodging, managing your CC, and using Artes (special attacks), everything starts to click.

Here are some tips to help make things a bit easier as you get into the swing of things:

1. Dodge & Move Like You Mean It

To get the most out of Tales of Graces f Remastered, you need to know the combat system inside out, and a major part of that is managing your CC (Combat Capacity).

You’ll find yourself dodging more in Tales of Graces f, unlike in most JRPGs where guarding is the go-to.

You keep your CC up and your combos flowing by side-stepping and performing a perfect dodge after attacks.

If you overdo the guarding, your CC will drain fast and expose you.

Instead of just free running to dodge, try sidestepping or dodging into the attack to avoid it and get your CC back so you can keep attacking.

Just move and dodge at the right spots, and you can string those combos together easily.

2. Skip the Level Grind, Go for Titles Instead

Titles are way more important than XP grinding in Tales of Graces f.

Leveling up gives you some basic stat boosts, but the Titles from battles and side quests truly power up your character.

Every title unlocks new Arts, stat upgrades, and special abilities. Unlocking Titles means more Arts, which means more tricks up your sleeve.

Instead of grinding through one game at a time, let the games flow between each other, learning a bit from each before moving on to the next.

The more titles you unlock, the better your characters get.

3. Don’t Skip the Discoveries & Skits

While you're roaming around Tales of Graces f, make sure you catch those Discoveries.

These spots are scattered around the map, and checking them out unlocks Titles and gives you more lore.

Most players rush through these, but they're worth tracking down.

They give rewards, but many of them also trigger skits—short, often humorous dialogue scenes that flesh out the characters and world.

If you're not looking, skits can slip right past you. Check save points occasionally; they’ll trigger new skits as the story progresses.

Keep in mind that Discoveries are often tied to specific locations, so swing by spots again as you play to catch anything you might have missed.

4. Make the Most of the Elli Mixer & Dualizing

Not everyone knows about the Elli Mixer in Tales of Graces f Remastered.

This tool can easily turn your collected items into consumables and materials.

The mixer can produce something from the list of items you’ve slotted into it every time you use it.

You can increase the chance of rare items by placing them at the top of the list.

This is especially useful for crafting battle items, such as healing gels, crucial during tough fights.

The same goes for the Dualizing system when upgrading your gear. Don’t forget to check out the shops and upgrade your gear.

When you encounter new materials in towns, Dualize them immediately to ensure your team always has the best gear.

5. Make the Game Your Own with the Grade Shop

The Grade Shop in Tales of Graces f Remastered lets you change the game’s rules whenever you feel like it.

Unlike previous entries in the series where the Grade Shop was locked until a New Game Plus run, you can access the full shop from the start here.

You can use the Grade Points you rack up in the game to tweak parameters like EXP, SP gains, and item drop rates.

This can make the experience more manageable for newcomers or allow veterans to test their limits if they’re up for it.

Take your time exploring the Grade Shop’s options early on, especially if you want to adjust the difficulty or boost your resource gains.

You can turn these settings on and off whenever you want, so feel free to try them out and find what feels right for you.
