How to unlock the alternate ending to Tekken 8

In order to unlock the alternate ending to Tekken's latest tale, you will need to lose your battle with Kazuya Mishima. While this may sound simple on the surface, the final chapter of the game features six consecutive engagements with the main antagonist, and in only one of them can you willingly throw the fight and still progress the story.

The key to unlocking the alternate ending is to allow Mishima to win the final fight, which is the sixth battle in the chapter. There are a few ways to know when the final fight is, primarily by the introduction of fast-paced music and button indicators that trigger flashbacks. Once this sequence begins, you will battle Mishima on two final occasions. The other indicator is Jin's health bar, as your health will fully replenish in the final battle if Mishima manages to drain the bar completely. Once you have thrown the fight, an alternative cutscene will be triggered and you'll be rewarded with the trophy/achievement titled Despair.
