Does Texas Chain Saw Massacre have crossplay between PC Game Pass and Steam?

The simple answer is yes, players on PC Game Pass and Steam can play Texas Chain Saw Massacre with each other. The game supports cross-play with Steam, Windows (PC Game Pass), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Crossplay will be enabled by default, but can be turned off at any time in the settings menu. Players can invite friends on other platforms through game-generated invite codes.

The only platforms that do not support crossplay are the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. According to publisher Gun Interactive, multiplayer for both past-generation consoles will be restricted to the console itself.

Does Texas Chain Saw Massacre have cross-progression between PC Game Pass and Steam?

Unfortunately, Texas Chain Saw Massacre does not support cross-progression on any platform. That means players on PC Game Pass will not be able to transfer their progress to the Steam or console versions.

All progress and saves are tied to the platform itself, so players should be certain about which version to get before starting. It is a strictly online multiplayer game, so transferring game save files manually between the two PC versions would likely not work.

It is also possible that the game could leave PC Game Pass in the future, which would leave players with buying the full game from the PC Microsoft Store app to continue playing or risk starting over from nothing on another platform.

So, that is everything to know about whether PC Game Pass players can play alongside Steam players in Texas Chain Saw Massacre. For more on the game, learn about all the confirmed maps in Texas Chain Saw Massacre, plus our handy Leatherface build.
