THE EU CHALLENGER SERIES RUNDOWN - 02/02

A common theme of the Gfinity Challenger Series so far has been just how quickly leaderboards can be turned on their head. With up to 1000 points available for winning the top cups, no matter how late to the party you are there is every chance to charge up the leaderboard and into contention for that all-important spot in the top 30 for the Elite Series Draft. So with that in mind, let's take a look at the Challenger Series leaderboards as they stand with three weeks to go.

FIFA 18adoniiPM continues to dominate the PS4 FIFA 18 leaderboard, managing to edge further clear of 2nd place BryanHessling. With the latter not competing this week, a 120-point haul on Thursday puts adoniiPM way out in front with 1770 points. Ferperry sits 3rd on 1350 points, just ahead of CrazyCortez on 1280 points and xexuatm96 on 1240 points. Thursday's finalists are our big movers for the week: JraLion10 skyrockets into the top 10 in 6th place on 1140 points, and despite losing to JraLion10, a second place finish on Thursday boosts Milosz93 into the top 10 in 8th place with 950 points. Remember what we said about one good result sending you up the table in a hurry? Here's the proof.Meanwhile, we have a new leader on the Xbox One leaderboard; lionel_10_youtube scoring the big win on Thursday and surging to the top on 2330 points. A relatively quiet week for Klutch_Ti means they drop to 2nd on 2150 points, ahead of kurt0411 (1680 points), HUGE G0RILLA (1480) and sen7inel (1410). Meanwhile, A HugeDragon x has enjoyed a consistent week with two wins on Tuesday and Wednesday to slide into the top 10 on 1180 points in 10th. With the announcement of Hashtag United joining the Elite Series and actively looking for up-and-coming FIFA players, expect the levels of competition in the FIFA leaderboards to only get more intense from here.

SFVThree things are certain in life; death, taxes and Hurricane being awesome at SFV. Having played all four nights back-to-back this week, and winning Thursday night's showcase, he continues to dominate the SFV leaderboard on 3545 points. Method's new signing Imstilldadaddy remains 2nd on 3080 points, but it's 3rd place YogaPatate who has really been turning heads the past week. Finishing runner-up to Hurricane in Thursday's cup is certainly nothing to be ashamed of, and his consistent performances put him on 2455 points for this Challenger Series so far and surely on the radar of some Elite Series teams. Imstilldadaddy's new teammate Shakz sits 4th on 2150 points just ahead of the ever-consistent VegaPatch on 2054. Additionally, the battle to sneak into the top 30 remains as tight as ever: MaxTheReal occupies the 30th place for now on 514 points, just 10 points ahead of China II.

Rocket LeagueWith just 220 points separating the top 4, the Rocket League leaderboard remains as close and competitive as ever. D7. leads the way on 2590 points, with a win on Monday and a 2nd place finish on Thursday garnering a solid 890-point haul. Teammates FaykoW and Pugsay are 2nd and 3rd on 2470 and 2390 points respectively, ahead of KayDop and Fairy Peak! to round out the top 5. Two Elite Series veterans are the big movers for this week, with Endpoint squadmates Tinny and Cheerio moving up into joint-7th place on 1700 points. The team-based nature of Rocket League means certain combinations are coming to the fore, and it's interesting to see the partnerships being formed – as noted last week with Rix Ronday, Borito B and Shakahron teaming up. For prospective Elite Series teams looking to fill up rosters for the new season, particularly the new teams coming in without pre-existing Rocket League rosters, these 'package deals' could be very tempting.

There’s plenty still to play for in all four leagues, and it's not too late for you to join the fun either. With individual cup wins paying sometimes as much as 1000 points each, there's still every chance for you to make up for lost time. As proven by some of our star players this week, consistent results and several big wins can leap you right into contention in no time at all.
