They cost a pretty penny, but the weapons of The Finals can make all the difference when going head-to-head with other contestants. Win or lose, you'll certainly be having fun with a flamethrower.
Committing to a heavy loadout and choosing weapons for it can be difficult, but we're here to make it easier. In this guide, we'll share our pick for the best heavy gun in The Finals.
To become an expert in The Finals, you should get stuck into our other guides. We've shared the best heavy loadouts, best light loadouts, and best medium loadouts to make sure you're ready for anything that skill-based matchmaking throws your way.
What is the best heavy gun in The Finals?
It's hard to pick just one, but the kills will come easily when you're using the SA1216 shotgun. It's got a truly staggering rate of fire, and if you're able to get in close, it can kill a full-health enemy in three or four shots.
If shotguns aren't your forte, we can also recommend the Lewis Gun. It's got a huge clip size that's somewhat hampered by its high recoil, but with a steady aim or supporting fire from teammates it can be a true monster.
You can expect to spend around 800 VRs on both guns, but will see results more-or-less immediately. They can also be tested out in the practice range if you'd like to judge for yourself.
As far as specializations go, the mesh shield is a great choice for SA1216 users; you can use it to safely get closer to an enemy while protecting teammates. Conversely, Lewis Gun users may find the goo gun helpful as it cuts off enemies' paths to keep them within your sights.
To round out your loadout, the Dome Shield gadget can really make both weapons shine. The 360-degree protection shows enemies exactly where you are, but any attempts to rush in will set them up for a quick death. Pyro grenades are also useful for the same reason; enemies will rush out of the flames just to be met with the business end of your shotgun.
