Does The Finals run on Steam Deck?
At the time of writing, The Finals is unable to run on Steam Deck. This is mainly due to an incompatibility issue with the game’s anti-cheat software, Easy Anti Cheat (EAC).
When trying to launch The Finals on the handheld device, the game will crash after reaching the EAC splash screen. Unfortunately, a workaround seems highly unlikely as it looks like the issue can only be fixed by the developers of The Finals.
To check on the status of this The Finals issue, you can visit the AreWeAntiCheatYet website. Embark Studios is also likely to make a statement as soon as this is fixed, so feel free to follow their Twitter account for the latest announcements.
