Like other MMORPGs, Throne and Liberty has its own gathering mechanics. This system is pivotal to progress in the game's PvE and PvP aspects, as having stronger gear gives a competitive edge.

Beyond upgrading gear, crafting also deeply relies on your collected resources. This article will discuss how to gather resources in Throne and Liberty effectively.

Players encounter gathering nodes for various materials, including ores, herbs, and wood. Resources can be found in open areas, with icons on the minimap showing the locations of herbs, logs, or mushrooms. The nodes are procedural, meaning they respawn nearby rather than in the same spot.

Here are the different types of resources you can gather in Throne and Liberty:

  • Ore Gathering Nodes - These nodes provide materials such as Moonstone and Marind Ore. These resources are essential for crafting weapons, armor, and growthstones. Ore nodes can be found in rocky regions, caves, and mountain cliffs, often near monster zones. The quality of ores can vary, with rare versions used in crafting high-tier gear.
  • Flower Gathering Nodes - These include herbs, wildflowers, and mushrooms, commonly found near rivers, ponds, and lakes. Herbs are vital for alchemy and cooking.
  • Tree Gathering Nodes - Wood is gathered from trees, particularly Star Trees and Fruit Star Trees, which only appear during specific weather conditions like rain. These materials are used in crafting equipment and other structures.
  • Mystic Globes - These special nodes provide random resources, including rare items. These globes spawn in fixed locations and regenerate after a few hours. They allow players to gather high-value materials.

To gather these, simply approach a node and press the interaction button (F on PC, Square on PlayStation, or X on Xbox).

Weather affects the quality of resources, making nodes more valuable during certain conditions. For example, rain can cause Wild Herbs to turn into Blooming Wild Herbs, which yield rarer items. Watch other players, as they might snatch nodes before you can.

You can also speed up resource farming using movement speed boosts and morphs like Glide Morph to access hard-to-reach areas. Be cautious of aggressive enemies, as taking damage will disrupt your gathering efforts.

If you can defeat them, it's best to do so, as this can yield items such as leather and magithread, while events or dungeons provide valuable drops like rare ores. Events like the Wolf Hunting Contest in Blackhowl Plains boost resource drops for certain materials. Dungeons offer even more consistent and valuable materials compared to open-world areas.

Players can also send their Amitoi companions on expeditions to gather resources passively. These creatures will return with materials after a set amount of time, and their gathering capabilities improve as they level up. Some areas are particularly rich in specific resources.

For example, Carmine Forest is known for mushrooms and wood, while Urstella Fields is an excellent location for herbs and Star Trees. Gathered resources can be upgraded into better materials for crafting powerful gear for high-level content like raids and dungeons.

Managing your inventory space is equally important, and materials can be stored in city warehouses, where crafters use these stocks to create items.
