THPS 1 + 2: How To Play

THPS 1 + 2 revolves around timed runs through levels.

On each run, players can check off a list of objectives that range from score-based challenges to collecting items, to more puzzle-oriented ones like draining a fountain

To earn points, players can pull off tricks using flip tricks (Square on PS4 or X on Xbox One), grabs (Circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One) and grinds (Triangle on PS4 or Y on Xbox One), as well as manuals to combo between each move.

Each successful trick in a combo adds an extra multiplier, so combos are the best way to score a huge amount of points.

Luckily, there's a handy tutorial to get you up to speed.

As for collectables, these take multiple forms. There are level-specific collectables like the Warehouse's fire hydrants, as well as ones you can find in every level.

These include the five letters that spell "S-K-A-T-E", secret videotapes, and more.

Then there are more specific challenges, like grinding a certain rail.

If you have problems with these, you can check them all via a video before embarking on a run.
