Gotham Knights is not only getting its own game but is also being developed into a live-action TV show.
As noted by Variety, The CW has ordered several pilots. Along with a Supernatural prequel, a Gotham Knights script has also been greenlit. The show's premise will differ from that of the upcoming game. Instead, Bruce Wayne's son will be the central focus.
Gotham Knights Is Being Adapted Into a TV Show
According to this, Wayne will unite with the offspring of Batman's enemies, following his father's death:
The story begins in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder. His rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names.
The DC adaptation will be spearheaded by Batwoman's executive producers, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, along with the series' executive story editor, Natalie Abrams.
Similar to the Arrowverse's other shows, Greg Berlanti will be producing the series through Berlanti Productions, along with Warner Bros. TV.
As with the videogame itself, the DC ensemble is rumoured to release this spring. Its latest trailer revealed The Court of Owls will play a major role in the title.
Elsewhere, another DC property, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, recently saw its launch date reportedly being delayed. If that gets confirmed, we'll let you know.
