Gotham Knights TV Show Director Reveals Filming Start Date and Logo

Gotham Knights is the latest DC property being converted into a live-action TV show, and it could launch sooner than anticipatged.

As revealed by the series' director, Danny Cannon, the show enters production in the next few weeks. The CW adaptation is also getting a bold, sleek logo to accompany the announcement.

Principal Photography is due to start in April 2022. We don't know how many episodes the first season will entail, but if CW's other properties are anything to go by, it should run up to around 20 episodes.

The Arrowverse expands with a more unique take on the property, distinct from the forthcoming videogame. Instead, the show follows Bruce Wayne's son, who unites with the offspring of Batman's enemies in the wake of his father's death:

The story begins in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder. His rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names.

Rumours indicate that the ensemble could consist of Nightwing, Bluebird, and Spoiler; as casting is currently underway.

The DC adaptation will be led by Batwoman's executive producers, Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, along with the series' executive story editor, Natalie Abrams. Just like CW's other comic book properties, Greg Berlanti will be producing the series once again through Berlanti Productions, along with Warner Bros. TV.
