Latest Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Update Disappoints Fans With Lack of Banlist and Long Duel Pass

The latest Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel update has upset many players since it doesn’t fix some issues fans have been complaining about, like a proper banlist and improvements to the Duel Pass. While the game continues to be a fairly popular Free-to-Play title, the lack of these fan-requested improvements has led to a lot of frustration from the current fanbase.

GamesRadar pointed out how frustrated the current Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel community is by bringing up some of the complaints from the game’s subreddit. Due to the lack of a banlist, players with overly powerful decks continue to dominate Master Duel and the stagnant Duel Pass makes the rewards feel boring to get, especially since it's 73-days long.

It’s doubtful that fans will give up on Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel since the game is still fairly popular on platforms like Steam, but the frustration shown from fans can’t be good. Konami will have to address some of these complaints soon since the lack of a banlist and an overly long Duel Pass is testing everyone’s patience.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices. The game is Free-to-Play with microtransactions and is regarded by some as a buy-to-win title so be prepared to spend some money or be patient grinding it out.
