Running into the Halo Infinite voice chat not working glitch? You're not alone. Halo Infinite's multiplayer mode was released in beta form during the Xbox 20th anniversary presentation, but it seems there are a few problems 343 still needs to iron out. Many players, this writer included, are teaming up only to find their squad can't hear them.
So far, 343 hasn't acknowledged the problem, though with more than 250,000 players leaping into Halo Infinite at any given time, there's bound to be plenty of unexpected issues popping up in the next few days. There's no permanent fix for the voice chat issue just yet, but there are a few things you can try to help resolve the issue.

Halo Infinite Voice Chat Not Working Fix
The first step is making sure you actually have voice chat enabled. Halo Infinite voice chat is disabled by default. Here's how to turn it on:
- Navigate to the settings menu
- Choose "Audio"
- Scroll down to "communication"
- Make sure your preferred device is selected
- Pick which type of voice chat you want
If that doesn't work, another voice chat fix you can try is just resetting the game. Some have reported this resolves the bug, though it often comes back at some point during the match anyway.
Another workaround people are trying is using push-to-talk mode. For some reason, the bug seems to affect this mode less frequently. Push-to-talk keeps your microphone muted until you press the specific button designated for chat. It's not the most convenient method, since it requires yet another button press in the middle of a match, but it's something if you're desperate for voice chat.
If that's you, we recommend using a third-party app such as Discord until 343 resolves the problem.
