A skill gap in any shooter game often separates the very best players in the world from the rest of the crowd and this is no different in Warzone 2. Call of Duty’s latest battle royale features a wealth of mechanics to master and even when players are familiar with the game, there’s no guarantee they can defeat a relative newcomer in a gunfight.

As the start of Season Two Reloaded approaches, fans are listing changes developers must make in order to fix the game while others are desperate for a shotgun nerf to stop the dominance of the KV Broadside.

In a bid to create some kind of skill gap, one member questions what Infinity Ward and Raven Software need to adjust so there are chances to outplay an opponent.

Where is the Warzone 2 skill gap?

Reddit user rackemuprackemup asks what features in the first Warzone create a skill gap and whether the same mechanics would work in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island.

“Assuming every QoL issue is remedied or improved, would any of these address how the community feels about skill gap?” questions the fan. Judging by the comments, there are several members of the community that have suggestions on how a skill gap can improve the game.

“Increase TTK (time-to-kill), reduce delays and penalties on movements, and re-balance rotational aim assist,” suggests one user. A higher TTK has a chance to make all the difference rather than getting obliterated in a few tenths of a second while faster movement gives players a chance to outmanoeuvre or escape the crosshairs of an opponent as fast as possible.

Alongside tweaks to the TTK and movement speed, another suggestion includes adjustments to recoil patterns. “Add static, but high recoil patterns for each default gun. As you get better and master the recoil you essentially get better,” says another fan.

All these suggestions have the potential to improve Warzone 2 but we’ll have to wait and see if Infinity Ward and Raven Software takes any feedback on board.
