As more intel on the Warzone 2 map emerges, Al Mazrah is looking like a great place for battle royale action.

With the Pacific era of Warzone beginning to wind down, attention is already turning to the launch of Warzone 2. The next chapter of the battle royale will act as a fresh start with an all-new weapon arsenal and the appearance of the Warzone 2 map.

Although Activision is yet to make any official Warzone 2 announcements, we expect plenty of new information to appear from the Call of Duty Next event. Prior to the event, various leaks on what the game has in store continue to appear. The latest leak contains intel on the new map, including its name.

What is the Warzone 2 map called?

During the Call of Duty Next event, Infinity Ward revealed Al Mazrah, a brand-new map set in the desert.

In addition to the name, the developer also revealed the map contains a total of 18 points of interest (POI), suggesting the map will have less open space than the Pacific island of Caldera.

Warzone 2 reveal date

Warzone 2's official reveal is taking place as part of the Call of Duty Next event on September 15, 2022. In addition to information on Modern Warfare 2 and Warzome Mobile, fans will hear more about the next chapter of the battle royale including live gameplay featuring numerous content creators.

Additionally, we'll get a closer look at Al Mazrah and its various POIs players will get to know once Warzone 2 launches. The event may even contain a Warzone 2 release date!
