The launch of Warzone 2 saw Infinity Ward make numerous changes in order to differentiate Call of Duty’s latest battle royale offering from its hugely successful predecessor. Changes included tweaks to the gulag alongside a new looting system which split the opinions of players dropping into Al Mazrah.
Following a slight delay to Season Two, Infinity Ward and Raven Software continue drip-feeding changes arriving as part of the seasonal update. The return of a 1v1 gulag has already appeared and it seems other elements of the game are on course for an overhaul.
The latest adjustments impact looting much to the excitement of players wanting a simpler system.
Simpler looting in Warzone 2 Season Two
On January 20, Raven Software revealed loot after scoring a kill and from within any supply boxes will pop out and float on the ground in a bid to speed up the process. As expected, the change has been met with overwhelming positivity.
Following the announcement, Warzone 2 streamer Repullze shares his approval before suggesting further changes to improve the battle royale for the better. “Love these changes! Definitely headed in the right direction. Running while plating next?”
Loot falling through the ground continues to cause problems in Al Mazrah during the final weeks of Season One. Content creator StoneMountain64 suggests this particular issue could be the reason why the developer is making major changes to the looting along with attempting to increase the pace of play.
The stakes are high for the Warzone 2 Season Two update. A lack of communication from developers has put Warzone 2 on a downward slope to failure but with more announcements continuing to adjust areas of the game causing frustration among players, there’s every chance the game escapes the gulag for another shot at taking the battle royale crown.
