Searching for the best Warzone Snake Shot loadout? We've got everything you need to know.
Season 1 of Warzone is well underway and following the appearance of the December 14 patch notes, players have gravitated towards the TYR pistol in a bid to gain the upper hand in those hectic close-quarters battles. Despite the revolver featuring a slight delay before the bullet leaves the barrel, the right build is capable of downing fully armoured opponents in a single shot.
Before we reveal more about the best Warzone Snake Shot loadout to use, take a look at our other guides revealing when the next double XP event takes place and the best DG-56 loadout for battle royale action.
What is the best Warzone Snake Shot loadout?
- Perks: EOD, Double Time, Escapist, High Alert
- Grenades: Semtex, Stun Grenade
This build is dominating the meta thanks to improvements in damage output, fire rate, and accuracy when firing from the hip. As with most revolvers, having two equipped is much better than one and in the case of this Warzone Snake Shot build, the extra firepower is excellent.
Best Warzone Snake Shot attachments
The Warzone gunsmith features a wealth of attachments to improve the performance of the weapon arsenal and in the case of the TYR, Snake Shot ammunition is the star of the show. Here's a closer look at the all five:
- Barrel: ZIU-16 Heavy Long
- Laser: XTEN Sidearm-L400
- Ammunition: 12.7x55mm Snakeshot
- Trigger Action: Ullr’s Fury
- Rear Grip: Akimbo TYR
For maximum damage output, the pairing of the ZIU-16 Heavy Long and the 12.7x55mm Snakeshot give you the ability to take down an opponent with one shot from each pistol.
To ensure the shots hit the target, the XTEN Sidearm-L400 laser provides a much-needed boost in hip fire accuracy which makes all the difference when the Akimbo TYR rear grip is selected.
Best Warzone Snake Shot perks and equipment
Once the best Warzone Snake Shot attachments are ready for action, it's time to select four perks and two pieces of equipment that will bolster your chances of becoming the last player standing even further. Here are our recommendations.
Perks
- Perk 1: EOD
- Perk 2: Double Time
- Perk 3: Escapist
- Perk 4: High Alert
EOD provides increased resistance to non-killstreak explosives such as grenades which is always useful when you're in the heat of battle with the Snake Shot loadout equipped. Double Time doubles the length of the Tactical Sprint, allowing you to navigate the Urzikstan map as quickly as possible.
Escapist is our third perk of choice thanks to the faster downed, prone, and crouch speed. This is particularly useful when retreating to a safe position or you're looking for faster movement while attempting to be stealthy.
Lastly is High Alert. Your vision will pulse orange if an opponent has clocked your location. With the Snake Shot pistols not having the greatest range, this is hugely advantageous if someone from afar has spotted you.
Equipment
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Stun Grenade
The trusty combination of Semtex and Stun Grenade is very hard to go wrong with. The sticky nature of Semtex allows you to stick it to enemies or onto vehicles passing by.
Stun Grenades slow the movement of anyone nearby to it exploding, giving you a few crucial seconds to eliminate the target with the Snake Shot TYR's before they've got any time to react.
Is the Warzone Snake Shot meta?
Absolutely! As Season 1 nears the halfway stage, the Warzone Snake Shot pistols are two of the strongest weapons to use in the entire game thanks to their incredible firepower. We recommend using them before they're nerfed into oblivion.
