The Season 4 roadmap of Warzone and MW2 showcases the Io Operator.

As you might expect, the only way to unlock the Io Operator in Warzone and MW2 is to purchase the Season 4 Blackcell battle pass. If you're unfamiliar, the Blackcell version of the battle pass was introduced in Season 3. It replaced the battle pass bundle, which cost an extra £15 but gave players access to 25 battle pass tokens.

The BlackCell version costs the same in real money, and offers the same number of tokens, but comes with exclusive cosmetics that cannot be obtained in any other way. The BlackCell skins in Season 3 featured black and gold versions of new and existing operators in Warzone and MW2. In Season 4, the same seems to be true, with Io being one of the new Operators featured alongside Nitko who is available in the standard battle pass.

At this time, we have very little information on the background of Io, how they fit into the story of the season, and if they will have any additional skins in the store or on the premium version of the battle pass. What we do know is that when players purchase the BlackCell version of the Season 4 battle pass, they will gain immediate access to the black and gold skin for Io as seen on the content roadmap.

The skin features Io with a hood up and gold accents on a black jacket and pants. They are also holding a black and gold weapon blueprint, which we can assume is another exclusive BlackCell cosmetic in Season 4.

So, to sum up, it appears the only way to unlock Io in Warzone and MW2 Season 4 is to purchase the Blackcell Battle Pass. This will run players roughly £25 of real-life money (no COD Points) and give them access to tier skips on the premium Battle Pass. It's possible that a store bundle containing another skin for Io arrives throughout Season 4, but we don't have any details on that possibility as of yet.
