Epic Games introduced the vending machines in Fortnite back in 2018. However, these devices came back to the game in Fortnite Season 7 and they've managed to stick around till Fortnite Chapter 3.
Fortnite vending machines are really interesting objects. You can approach them in the game and get weapons off them, in exchange for gold.
The Fortnite vending machines behave like real world vending machines only. The only difference being that these machines sell items that you would generally find in game itself.
Fortnite vending machine locations
In Fortnite Season 8, there are two different vending machines that you'll find. They are as follows:
- Weapon-o-matic : This Fortnite vending machine sells weapons.
- Mending machines: This Fortnite vending machine sells slurp jars only. These slurp jars restore your shields.
That being said, these machines are littered all across the map. They can definitely act as life savers in case you're running short on shields or you're in dire need of weapons.
Here's a map showing all the locations of these vending machines in Fortnite.
A few NPCs have punch card challenges that are related to these vending machines in Fortnite.
You would still need a good amount of gold in order to buy things from these vending machines. But still these are a fun little addition to the current season.
In some cases, you may also come across a malfunctioning vending machine. These machines can be identified by the huge exclamation mark that can be seen on their body.
You can't buy weapons or shields from this machine. On the contrary, it allows you to roll the dice for 100 gold and yields a random item.
