Marvel Rivals does have some original character designs for their playable heroes, but it was inevitable that they would be bringing in some skins based on the characters’ appearance in the MCU.
NetEase Games has been slowly revealing some incoming skins for characters, but a new leak has given a look at some other incoming cosmetics—some of which are based on MCU appearances.
MCU Skins in Marvel Rivals
In a recent leak of a featured page of the Marvel Rivals store, fans got an early look at a Deadpool and Wolverine skin for Wolverine as well as MCU skins for Black Widow, Loki, and Scarlet Witch (Multiverse of Madness).
With the leak already getting thousands of views online, the official Marvel Rivals page gave an official look at Logan's Deadpool and Wolverine skin.
Over the past few months, leading up to the release, MCU skins for Spider-Man (No Way Home), Thor (Love and Thunder), Namor (Wakanda Forever), and the playable Guardians of the Galaxy characters (Vol. 3) have also been revealed.
With the skins and cosmetics expected to be one of the main sources of income for the game, fans expect NetEase to release new skins like action figures, and if Marvel has taught us anything, there’s a new look for every hero in every new movie.
No doubt, fans should expect a new skin (or even a character) to drop whenever Marvel Studios has something new to pump out. What are the odds there’s a reveal for the Falcon when Captain America: Brave New World comes to cinemas in February?
Watch the Highlights
Though fans have been buzzing about the skins alone, others have also noticed that some of the skins could come with very specialized highlight intros—specifically ones inspired by scenes from the movies.
This Scarlet Witch cosmetic has a scene of Wanda crawling out of a portal, very similar to how she did it in Multiverse of Madness:
They’re not one-to-one recreations, but many fans know that was one of the more memorable sequences featuring Wanda. Now they’re scratching their heads over what stand-out sequences from the MCU could make their way into the game for specific heroes.

Going back to the leaked image, though, some fans have noticed that the skins cost 1800 in-game points, which has them worried. If 1 USD is worth 100 points, that means that each skin could cost 18 USD—which some consider pretty expensive for a cosmetic.
With Overwatch 2 being criticized for the price of its skins, some are worried that Marvel Rivals could be doing the same with its store.
Fans just hope that the 1$=100 points exchange rate will be higher. Either that or the skins would be earnable through gameplay; just don’t make someone grind for a few months to be able to afford a nice MCU skin.
