World of Warcraft is approaching its 17th year anniversary in which it has seen the release of 8 expansions on top of the original game.
Beginning in 2004, World of Warcraft instantly became a hit title, reaching the top MMO spot in no time, and while the genre as a whole has slowed down it still remains as one of the best current MMO games.
Each expansion has added to the original game introducing new zones to explore and new classes to experience.
This list will only include all main titles from the franchise and will exclude all recent Classic re-release expansions.

World of Warcraft's in-game anniversary event takes place from the 15th of November to the 6th of December and features many ways players can celebrate one of their favorite games of the past 17 years. With recent delays to World of Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment as a whole, the future timeline is not known for WoW however, players are expecting an announcement for the next expansion sometime in the first half of 2022.
