10 best WoW Classic addons

AtlasLoot Classic

First up, we have AtlasLoot Classic. Unlike modern WoW, we don't have a way to see what loot drops in certain content. AtlasLoot comes to the rescue, allowing us to see everything loot related in the game. It also gives us the ability to see collectibles and crafting materials for crafted gear, which can be very helpful.

Questie

Questie is a quest helper addon, which will add a bunch of things to your map to assist in your questing adventures. It also provides you with some helpful tips for each quest so you can get through your questing quickly and efficiently. Blizzard did say that they were adding in a quest helper feature into the game, but have this on standby in case Blizzard's is not up to snuff.

Details! Damage Meter

Details! Damage Meter is a damage meter for the game. It'll show the DPS of your group, and it can also be configured to show healing numbers as well as a few other useful metrics.

Bagnon

Bagnon is a really handy addon that changes how your bags look. Rather than having individual bags, everything is shown as one large bag. This helps with organization of your bags and your bank.

Weak Auras

Weak Auras is a powerful tool that's used in end game content. It allows for you to add in various timers, call outs and elements to your screen to help you track all the complex aspects of the game. You can get Weak Aura set ups for your class to manage ability cooldowns, or boss set ups to track boss abilities.

Deadly Boss Mods

If you want a set and forget boss assistant, then Deadly Boss Mods is the way to go. This addon will give you call outs for the bosses in each dungeon and raid. It will give audible and visual cues so you shouldn't miss a thing.

Auctioneer

Auctioneer is a powerful auction house utility. It will give you auction pricing for items that you pick up. It also gives you a new auction house interface, allowing you to sell your items a lot easier.

OmniCC

OmniCC is a simple addon, but one that provides a BIG quality of life feature. It adds a numerical countdown for your skill cooldowns. Without it, you only see a darkened sweep on the skill.

GTFO

Another very nice addon to help keep track of things is GTFO. WoW has a lot of graphical effects and a lot of things to keep track of. GTFO gives you an audible notification if you're standing in something bad, which can help some players.

ELVUI

If you're someone who wants to completely overhaul their UI, then tools like ElvUI can really do great things for you. It completely changes the look of the UI to a very clean, minimalistic style. It also allows you to move assets and bars around to get them how you want them.

How do I install WoW Classic addons?

Installing these addons is fairly easy. Once you have the addon downloaded, it'll be in a zip file. First thing is you're going to open the zip file. Then open your file explorer, and head to "Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft/_classic_/Interface/AddOns". Then copy the folders from the zip file into the AddOns folder. Once you load WoW back up, you should see them on your screen. You may need to go through some set up for them, but afterwards you should be all set.

And that's all that we have for you! While you're here, be sure to check out our coverage of Wrath Classic's launch, so you know how long you have to wait to get ready for launch. Also check out how to make your own Death Knight.
