Microsoft announced they are looking for candidates to test the upcoming Xbox Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead features. As reported by Windows Central, these testers will provide feedback to Microsoft about their experience in using both the features, so it's not just something to do for fun.
Both programs let members receive updates before they're available to the general public, so think of them as a kind of QA and early access phase combined.
Though nothing was specified as of now regarding who could join, Microsoft mentioned:
"We don't share specific details, but we look at a variety of factors like high-quality submitted feedback, quest/survey participation, and playing games. More importantly, we select users who let us know they are interested in participating!"

Microsoft Opens Application For Xbox Alpha And Alpha Skip-Ahead Insiders
Microsoft listed the steps for those who would want to be a part of the limited-time test. These are:
- Launch the Xbox Insider Hub on your console
- Select Activities on the left
- Under Available, scroll down until you see Joining new rings
- Complete the survey!
Submitting an application will not guarantee a testing spot, however. Once you receive an invitation to take part in the test, you should immediately be able to join the program since the spots are limited. Make sure to follow us for more gaming news and updates as they happen.
