Xbox Is Investigating TimeSplitters' Backwards Compatibility Issues

Xbox brought us a few surprises during their 20th anniversary stream. Alongside news that Halo Infinite's multiplayer was getting an early launch, Microsoft also added 76 new backwards compatible games to Xbox Series X|S, marking the final batch of older titles to hit this platform.

Sadly, not all of them are functioning as intended, namely TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, which launched in 2002 and 2005 respectively. Since arriving via backwards compatibility two weeks ago, fans have been suffering issues, reporting issues regarding the aiming sensitivity and related acceleration.

Xbox Is Investigating TimeSplitters' Backwards Compatibility Issues

Thankfully, Microsoft has confirmed that they're investigating these problems. Jason Ronald, Xbox's director of Project Management, revealed that the team were "aware and already investigating" this issue during a Twitter conversation, as seen below:

In the meantime, fans can utilise Future Perfect's sensitivity sliders to temporarily workaround this, though TimeSplitters 2 unfortunately doesn't have such an option. No fix has been deployed yet but as soon as it does, we'll look to keep you informed.
