Season 2 Reloaded Update Adds Vanguard Zombies Pause Feature

The Zombies mode in Vanguard continues to receive a mixed reception despite the best efforts of Treyarch. As the developer attempts to address various complaints with the latest Dark Aether story, many players are beginning to grow tired of the endless slaying of undead opponents.

The Season 2 Reloaded update introduced a number of new Covenants in a bid to inject a breath of fresh air into the mode alongside a heavily-requested feature.

With the second half of the season underway, players have the ability to pause their match in order to take a break from all the Zombie slaying.

Vanguard Zombies Pause Feature

For an unknown reason, Vanguard released without a pause feature for Zombies, much to the annoyance of the community. Thanks to a Call of Duty blog post, Treyarch shared details on how players can bring their games to a temporary halt.

"Players in Solo matches and single-player matches will be able to pause for up to two hours collectively per match on dedicates servers, and can continue to pause indefinitely in offline and local matches."

While some have welcomed the addition of a pause, others that want to reach a high round have shared their disappointment with the two-hour time limit.

Will Vanguard Zombies Get Better?

Treyarch is trying its hardest to create a Zombies experience that lives up to the immense success of the mode from Black Ops Cold War. The addition of a pause feature is a positive but when players continue to ask for a dose of classic round-based action, it's going to take some time before Vanguard Zombies gets any better.
