What Is The Best AUG Loadout For Cold War Zombies?

The tactical rifle weapon category in Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War Zombies is arguably one of the strongest in the entire game thanks to the immense power that this small set of weapons possesses.

The AUG is one of two rifles that features a burst-firing mechanic and thanks to these highly powerful bursts, it’s one of the best weapons to slay the undead with.

With so many attachments in the Gunsmith, it can be confusing when it comes to deciding the best attachments to equip.

With that said, what are the best attachments to use on the AUG for Zombies?

Despite being one of the least mobile weapons to use in Zombies, the AUG deals incredible damage at long-range, making it the perfect weapon to use in order to fend off the undead from afar.

The mobility can be improved alongside the 30-round magazine which can be emptied in just a few seconds when dealing with a cluster of undead opposition.

AUG Cold War Zombies Attachments

Here are the best set of attachments to equip:

  • Infantry Compensator (Muzzle)
  • 18.2” Strike Team (Barrel)
  • Patrol Grip (Underbarrel)
  • SALVO 54 RND Fast Mag (Magazine)
  • SAS Combat Stock (Stock)

This combination of attachments focuses on improving your mobility when using the AUG.

The choice of SAS combat stock drastically improves mobility without a significant impact on the levels of accuracy, meaning that it’s still deadly in any long-distance duels.

If you’re not comfortable using the built-in optic of the AUG, I recommend switching the patrol grip for an optic of your choice. Removing the grip will make movement slightly slower but if you’re posted up in a static position, movement speed is the last thing to be worrying about.

Is The AUG In Cold War Zombies Good?

Dropping into a round-based match or Outbreak with this AUG loadout is a sure-fire way of scoring thousands of points in the opening rounds.

Thanks to its deadly accuracy from a distance, I found myself scoring headshots with ease and after I noticed that the Zombies were becoming harder opposition to deal with, I headed to the Pack-A-Punch and continued to use it until the round counter entered into the 20s.

In my opinion, using the AUG will prevent any form of undead opponent from getting too close for comfort, which is why it’s one of my favourite weapons to use.
