Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - How to Play Outbreak Mode Early

Funnily enough, next-gen hardware might also be responsible for Outbreak being playable early on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Multiple players have confirmed that they were able to play the mode on their PS5, though it comes with a catch; you can’t play it online yet.

Instead of waiting for Black Ops Cold War season 2, head to the Find Games tab, create an offline match in Zombies, then you should be able to play Outbreak.

While playing without real people might sound like a bust, it should be a decent way to try the mode out and maybe get a feel for what kind of threats you will be facing once Outbreak officially launches.

To be frank, finding hoards of zombies alone in a wide-open area does sound like a lot of fun. We’re sure it will give players a decent challenge offline if the videos spreading on YouTube are anything to go by.

Obviously, those that want to wait for the online portion of Outbreak in Black Ops Cold War will have to wait for the game’s second season to officially launch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War promises to give fans plenty of new content to sink their teeth into, including new Operators to use, the aforementioned Outbreak mode, new weapons to shoot your enemies with, and so much more.

Warzone will also be updated since that’s a big success for Activision and we doubt that will be going away anytime soon.

You can pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War right now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
