Whether you’re shooting zombies in one of the standard multiplayer modes or the recently-released Outbreak mode, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has given fans of these monsters a lot of bang for their buck.
Considering how the game is $60 on current-gen consoles and $70 on next-gen systems, Black Ops Cold War has seemingly earned its price tag as the shooter gives players a lot of things to do (and shoot).

What Is Zombie Essence In Cold War?
Funnily enough, the Black Ops Cold War Outbreak mode has its own form of currency called Zombie Essence, which lets you buy weapons to shoot more zombies with.
Outbreak’s Zombie Essence acts as both your score and currency for the mode, so you get them by killing a good number of zombies, as well as completing side missions.
Using Zombie Essence in Outbreak to get weapons can be a bit costly since taking a gun off the wall will result in the other arms getting a price increase.
This means that players should just get the weapons that they want right away, otherwise they are going to have to spend even more Zombie Essence if you’re planning on getting the weapon next time.
Like any good game with currency, the best thing to do is stock up on as much Zombie Essence you can get while playing the Black Ops Cold War Outbreak mode.
Admittedly, this can be a bit time-consuming since you have to kill a multitude of zombies and complete some of the side objectives but if you have friends, it shouldn’t feel too repetitive.
Everything is always more fun when you have a buddy or two to gain the currency with.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now, with the Outbreak mode available thanks to the big Season 2 update that came out late last week.
The game is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
