Despite Warzone Pacific's recent launch, several leaks, and rumors about the launch of Call of Duty 2022 have already surfaced, much to the excitement of the community. If the rumors turn out to be true then Call of Duty 2022 will be Modern Warfare 2, a sequel to the 2019 reboot of the Modern Warfare series.

Even though there are no official announcements about the game right now, notable leaker Tom Henderson has revealed some major news about the game’s release.

Modern Warfare 2 (2022) Past-Gen Console Release
Popular gaming news leaker Tom Henderson took to Twitter to share the latest news. “Modern Warfare II (2022) is coming to both current-gen and past generation consoles. It's currently believed that this will be the last Call of Duty coming to past generation consoles, but it will ultimately depend on the console market conditions,” they said.
If the news is to be believed, this is a good sign as the majority of the console players around the globe still haven’t been able to get their hands on the latest gen consoles. Activision likes to keep its fans guessing about the upcoming titles and their features, so MW2 will be no exception either.
