Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War might be one mouthful of a title but the game has managed to find its way into the hearts of many Call of Duty fans. The game retains that standard Call of Duty quality, for better or worse, and fans are looking forward to the highly-anticipated Outbreak mode introduced in Season 2.
While zombies are nothing new to first-person shooters or Call of Duty, the mode does give fans a unique environment and scenario to shoot them in.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - How to play Outbreak
If you want to play the Outbreak mode of Black Ops Cold War online, you’ll have to wait for the Season 2 update to be officially released on February 25. When that happens, it will be as simple as choosing it from the game’s play modes. Naturally, you can play the game with your party of friends who are in a lobby, or go at it randomly if you want to kill time or get good.
For those that want to play Outbreak in Black Ops Cold War a bit early, all you have to do is set-up an offline match and pick Outbreak, which somehow leaked early. Playing offline is nowhere near as fun as playing it online, though we’re sure fans will get some cheap thrills from killing dozens of zombies in an open area.
We recommend just waiting for the official Black Ops Cold War Season 2 update to hit the web for maximum Outbreak fun but it wouldn’t hurt to try the mode early and maybe gain a grasp on the zombie shooting situation. It’s totally playable offline and exploring the vast areas should be a great deal of fun. Otherwise, just wait for Season 2.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 will be launching on February 25 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. There will also be a big update for Call of Duty: Warzone, the free-to-play online shooter that launched sometime after the Modern Warfare reboot.
