It's almost PS5 launch day, and if you've managed to snag one for the big day, we salute you.
Of course, a console is only as good as the games you can play on it, and it'd be fair to say the PS5 has the strongest lineup of any of Sony's consoles (sorry, Smuggler's Run fans!).
We've rounded up some of the console's best titles that you can play on day one, but don't forget that there are also plenty of titles from the PS4 that you can play on your new console, too – almost all of them in fact.
So while we're specifically looking at PS5 titles in the list below, releases like The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima have received significant upgrades to make use of the console's power and lightning-fast SSD.
With that said, let's get to it.
PS5 Launch Games: The Best Games To Buy With Your PS5
Demon's Souls
It may not be to everyone's tastes, but Demon's Souls currently holds a stunning 92 on Metacritic which makes it the critic's choice for PS5 launch titles.
With stunning visuals, hard-as-nails combat, and a sense of atmosphere that bests even the PS3 original, this could be the best way to show off what your console can do.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Likely the biggest name attached to the console's launch, Spider-Man: Miles Morales offers the next chapter in a saga that began with 2018's excellent Spider-Man title.
Changing perspective to rookie crimefighter Miles, expect a rip-roaring adventure with the added bonus of the entire 2018 title included in the Ultimate Edition.
Astro's Playroom
If you have PSVR and didn't play Astro Bot: Rescue Mission then you missed out on one of the platform's best titles.
Still, the adorable little bot has been set free from the headset and arrived on PS5 as a built-in title that shows off the console's unique features – particularly those of the Dualsense controller.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
It wouldn't be a console launch without a Call of Duty title, and this year's offering takes players to the 80s in a spy-thriller campaign, while also offering the usual multiplayer suite and Warzone, as well as the return of Zombies.
What makes the PS5 arguably the best version is its use of the adaptive triggers in the Dualsense, with each weapon reacting differently when fired.
The Pathless
A completely different title to anything on this list, The Pathless is a strangely relaxing chance to explore a world using a locomotion system that pulls players along using a bow and arrow.
It's wholly unique, and well worth a look when you're done with superheroes, gunfire, and dying a lot in Demon's Souls.
PlayStation Plus Collection
Ok, so this one isn't a game, but it's an incredible deal. If you've already got PlayStation Plus, you'll be able to download plenty of PS4 games to play on your PS5 at no extra cost.
These aren't just any games, though, with some of the cream of the PlayStation crop being available.
First-party hits like Bloodborne, God of War, Uncharted 4 and Until Dawn make an appearance, as well as third-party juggernauts like Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 7, and Monster Hunter: World.
