Gamescom 2020 Online: Opening Night Livestream, Dates, Schedule, Games, Publishers And Everything We Know

E3 2020 might have been cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, but there's still plenty to look forward to in 2020 – including Gamescom.

The huge event won't be taking place physically, but fans will be able to tune in to an online version to check out some fresh new announcements and demos.

Developers and Publishers will display some of the year's most anticipated games and tech.

With so many exciting games on the horizon, Gamescom is sure to be an event to remember.

A number of games that were set to release have been pushed back due to the pandemic.

The event is an opportunity to reinvigorate fans and get them excited despite the disappointment of delays.

Here's everything we know about the show so far.

Gamescom 2020 Live Blog

That's a wrap!

Thanks for tuning in everybody!

Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart Will Launch In The PS5's Launch Window

We're getting a look at full, uncut gameplay from Insomniac's latest platformer.

It looks incredible, like a big-budget Pixar movie. The underlying tech allows our dynamic duo to pull through multiple dimensions, with absolutely no loading times.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light

A fresh trailer shows off the new subclasses. Warlocks get the Shadebinder, while Hunters get the Revenant.

The Titans, (the best class), get the Behemoth subclass.

Turrican Collection

The Amiga classic from German studio Factor5 returns.

Spellbreak

This magical dueller is launching on September 3.

It'll be free-to-play.

Medal of Honor: Above And Beyond

Respawn Entertainment's VR-only WWII title is sure to be a stunner.

It's coming exclusively to Oculus this holiday season.

Fall Guys Season 2

Season 2 brings in a middle-ages theme, full of drawbridges and suits of armour.

It looks, as you'd imagine, like utter carnage.

Chorus Gameplay

Our first look at gameplay following the game's reveal at a previous Xbox event.

It'll launch in 2021.

Struggling

This weird, gross adventure is launching tonight on Nintendo Switch.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Coming 2021

Confirmed for current and next-gen.

Lemnis Gate

This time-bending shooter launches early 2021.

Mafia: Definitive Edition Story Trailer

Check out a new look at the game's characters.

Don't forget to check out our preview.

Override 2 Crossover

Announcement coming in September!

Warframe's Heart of Deimos

This open-world expansion for the free-to-play space ninja title offers mechs, new areas to explore, and an entire planet of monsters to carve through.

It's out now for all consoles and PC.

Godfall

We just got a look at about 30 seconds of gameplay of a new character.

Twelve Minutes

The show-stealing indie shown at Microsoft's E3 last year is back, but this time with an all-star cast.

Willem Dafoe is in it, too.

The Sims Is Getting A Star Wars Expansion

Another crossover we weren't expecting (see Bridge Constructor and Walking Dead).

Journey to Baatuu launches on September 8.

Star Wars: Squadrons

A look at a single-player mission from EA's upcoming dogfighting title.

The game launches on October 2.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds

A look at the new brawler's characters, with wrestlers from all eras of WWE history.

Little Nightmares II

Little Nightmares II lands in February 2021. It looks just as dreamlike and eery as its predecessor, and really unsettling.

Teardown

A new announcement from a two-person studio, Teardown has a focus on destructible environments built using a proprietary game engine.

Think of it like an inverted Minecraft, where you're tearing its blocky world apart.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

The Bandicoot is in Germany, which sucks. But on the plus side, he's wearing his mask like a good boy.

Flashback Tape levels announced, which offer an increased challenge using the aesthetics of the original trilogy.

Players collect the tapes as they progress through the campaign.

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Stormground

Coming in 2021.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

WoW's next expansion lands October 27. We also got to see a lengthy animated short that sets up the narrative.

Sam And Max Are Coming To VR

The classic duo return!

Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead

No, really. Coming 2020 for current-gen, next-gen, and PC.

Back to the Future's Doc Brown Is Here...

...to announce that Surgeon Simulator 2 is live NOW on the Epic Games Store.

Yeah, we don't get it either.

Dragon Age 4

Bioware are teasing some new information about the focus of the next Dragon Age, promising a focus on characters - which is refreshing, after Anthem.

The line "that's the good kind of rumble" feels like a meme in the making.

Lots of lovely concept art, but the game is still early in development.

Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part One

An extended gameplay sequence for Bethesda's latest DLC for Doom Eternal.

Looks like we'll be battling even more demonic nasties, as well as some truly titanic monsters.

It launches on October 20.

Unknown 9: Awakening Revealed

A next-gen title set on the streets of India, Unknown 9 stars a young heroine who is haunted by visions of her own death.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

We get a good look at our new enemy, Perseus, as part of a new campaign trailer.

Evening all!

Here we go!
