May 1, 2024 - The Shrine of Secrets has refreshed.

If you're looking for perks, you may want to know what is in the Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets. Put simply, it's a marketplace for the game that allows players to unlock Teachable Perks without having to Prestige the associated Character. Every week, 4 random perks are made available to players: two survivor perks and two perks for killers.

When a player buys a Teachable Perk from the Shrine, the Perk will from then on be unlocked in every Character's Bloodweb. Naturally, this isn't free and players will need to hand over 2,000 Iridescent Shards for each Teachable Perk they wish to unlock.

Now you know what they are, you're probably wondering what the shine is this week and, with patch 7.7.0, how to access the Shrine of Secrets in the first place. Read on to discover everything you need to know about Dead by Daylight and its Shrine of Secrets.

How To Access The Shrine of Secrets

Previously the Shrine of Secrets was able to be accessed via the main menu of Dead by Daylight. However, that has since changed with patch 7.7.0.

Instead, players will find the Shrine of Secrets over at the Survivor or Killer lobby. You can find the Shrine of Secrets just above the Store tab. Clicking or choosing it will take to you straight to the shrine.

What Time Does Shrine of Secrets Reset?

The Shrine of Secrets resets every Wednesday at 00:00:00 UTC (GMT+0).

Red Herring - Survivor Teachable Perk

Red Herring is a Teachable Perk unique to Zarina Kassir in Dead by Daylight. It becomes available in the Bloodweb for other characters after the first prestige.

After repairing a generator for at least 3 seconds, it will be highlighted with a yellow aura. The generator stays highlighted until it is fully repaired, you repair a new generator, or you enter a locker.

Entering any locker will trigger a loud noise indicator for The Killer at the highlighted generator's location.

  • Red Herring can only be triggered once every 60/50/40 seconds.

Wiretap - Survivor Teachable Perk

Wiretap activates after completing a total of 50% worth of repair progress on generators.

When standing next to a generator, press the Active Ability button 1 to install a Wiretap, which stays active for 100/110/120 seconds.

A yellow aura will reveal affected generators to all Survivors. Only one Wiretap can be active on a generator.

  • When the Killer enters within 14 meters of the generator, their aura is revealed to all Survivors.
  • Wiretap deactivates when the generator is damaged by the Killer or when the timer expires.

Dragon's Grip has a cooldown of 120/100/80 seconds.

Exposed Survivors will be downed by basic attacks even if uninjured.

Alien Instinct is a Teachable Perk unique to The Xenomorph in Dead by Daylight. It becomes available in the Bloodweb for other characters from the first prestige

This perk activates when you hook a Survivor.

You see the aura of the farthest injured Survivor for 5 seconds and that Survivor is Oblivious for 16/18/20 seconds.
