Destiny 2 Beyond Light's new Raid, Deep Stone Crypt, will likely have players grinding their way through the power levels over the next few weeks to be ready to face the challenges it holds.
If you're a hardcore player looking to compete for the "World's First" clear of the new endgame content, then here's when you can jump in.
Destiny 2 Beyond Light Raid Release Date
As revealed in a Bungie blog post, the new raid will kick off on November 21.
That means you'll need to gather your party and get grinding so that six of you are ready to face it.
Beyond Light’s raid will unlock on Saturday, November 21, at 10 a.m. Pacific and for 24 hours, “contest mode” will cap all players off at 20 power levels below each encounter, and seasonal “artefact power” bonuses will be disabled.
Players hoping to compete for World First should aim for 1,230 power, in order to hit the power cap for all the raid’s encounters. Exceeding that power level “will not provide any additional advantage in the final fight,” Bungie says.
For the uninitiated, raids are undoubtedly the high point of Destiny's PvE content. They see six Guardians battling their way through tough enemies and tricky puzzles, with some truly unique mechanics when compared to the rest of the game.
Of course, the raid's contents are always kept under wraps before release, but we do know some tidbits of information about it.
The Deep Stone Crypt is an area under the surface of Europa, Jupiter's icy moon that Beyond Light's story is set on.
It's the birthplace of the Exo race, Destiny's robotic characters that have human consciousness and emotions. Could we come up against some of them?
Beyond Light, goes live November 10 on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
Next-gen versions of the game will launch on December 8.
