Destiny 2 Salvation's Grip Quest: Beyond Light Aspect of Control Steps And Everything We Know About New Exotic Grenade Launcher

Destiny 2 Beyond Light is now live.

As always, exotics are some of the most exciting weapons and armour pieces in the game.

One of the new weapons, Salvation's Grip, is a grenade launcher with Stasis properties – the expansion's latest damage type.

Destiny 2 Salvation's Grip Guide

Check out the trailer for the exotic grenade launcher, below:

Salvation's Grip fires ammunition that creates crystals and freeze enemies in an area, which is likely to make it ideal for clearing enemies en masse.

You can also charge it, allowing for a larger freeze radius. Once frozen, it appears enemies will take more damage, too, so it may be ideal for freezing bosses in place.

Guardians will need a new first-choice Grenade Launcher, since Mountaintop has been nerfed.

"We’ve had a ton of feedback that Mountaintop feels a bit over the top in Crucible modes. This Pinnacle weapon has had ample time to shine, so we’re taking it down a notch", Bungie said.

Destiny 2 Beyond Light: How To Get Salvation's Grip?

First thing is first – you'll need to complete the Beyond Light campaign.

Afterwards, chat to The Drifter back at the Tower.

Step 1

The Drifter will give you "The Stasis Prototype" quest, and the first step is pretty simple.

Just head over to Europa and start slaying Captains and Servitors.

Step 2

Next, you'll want to complete an Empire Hunt, which you can start by giving Variks 40 Herealways Pieces.

While you're there, grab the "Dark Priestess" from Variks as you can complete that too.

Step 3

This one is nice and easy – kill enemies using your fun new Stasis powers.

Our advice is to hit up Public Events where possible.

Step 4

Big Fallen boss and all-round nefarious guy Spider wants in on the action, and he's sent a contact to meet you in the Concealed Void Lost Sector (in Asterion Abyss).

Complete the Lost Sector (i.e, kill the boss and grab the loot), and you'll find Spider's associate waiting with a series of Skiff codes for you.

Step 5

Head back to the Drifter, and he'll give you a "Stealing Stasis" mission that will earn you the Salvation's Grip grenade launcher.

We'll be sure to update this as soon as we know more about the quest.
