The Taken are basically entities belonging to all the other races that you see in Destiny 2. The only difference is that these entities are corrupted by Darkness. Yes, the thing that gives us our icy powers.

Where to Find Taken in Destiny 2?
The Taken can primarily be found in the Dreaming City. They got to the location after Savathuun placed a curse on the area. And they've been there ever since.
That being said, It's not difficult to kill the Taken but then again, they keep hurling these weird looking projectiles at you every now and then, so be careful of any oncoming hits.
What is the Best Strike To Farm Taken Kills In Destiny 2?
The best strike to farm Taken kills in Destiny 2 will have to be The Corrupted by far. This strike features Taken enemies only.
Although there are a few Scorn that you may have to kill early on in the strike, but it's predominantly the Taken that you're fighting.
Alternatively, you could also make your way to the Lake of Shadows. This strike is relatively shorter, and you can get a lot of Taken kills here as well.
Where Is The Best Place To Farm Taken on Dreaming City?
The Taken can be found almost everywhere on the Dreaming City. You can land at Davilian Mists and then make your way throughout the entire area. And you're bound to come across a lot of Taken enemies every now and then.
Where Is The Best Place To Farm Taken On EDZ?
It's difficult to say where to find the Taken on EDZ. However, you could try your luck by making your way to Mavic Square. It's located towards the east of Trostland.
Here you could find some Taken if you're lucky.
Alternatively, there are a few dungeons and raids where you could get your hands on all the Taken enemies. First of all, you could go ahead and try playing either The Shattered Throne, or Prophecy in Destiny 2.
Both these dungeons are filled with Taken enemies so you shouldn't have any difficulty raking up those kills.
Alternatively, you could load into the Last Wish raid. This is a storehouse of Taken enemies, so you can get your fill here as well.
