Hawkeye has been set up as a mini-series but, previous plans have suggested more episodes were on the way.
As noted by Cosmic Circus, it's been reported that a major plot twist was removed from Season 1's finale. It's speculated that the deleted scene would lead to further quests involving the bow-and-arrow duo.

Hawkeye Season 2 Potentially Teased Through Finale's Deleted Scene
This removed content would've furthered the plot of Kate Bishop's father. Initially, it was revealed that her Dad was killed in the first episode. But in the remaining moments of the Christmas finale, this claim would've been outed as false.
Rather, Kate's Dad would've been shown as alive; appearing in the final moments of the show. It's assumed that this could've led to a Season 2.
This would've made sense given the fact that we didn't actually see Kate's Dad passed away. The no.1 rule in superhero cinema is that if you don't see a character die on-screen, don't assume they've died, so his reappearance may have fit perfectly.
It's anyone's guess as to why this scene was potentially scrapped, given how the MCU's own Loki starts filming its next season this year.
It's also possible that this storyline hasn’t been removed completely. The future still looks bright for Clint and Kate, so we could see the revival of this later on.
This isn’t the first deleted scene from Hawkeye, as another moment also expanded on Kingpin. The clip features a confrontation between the Daredevil villain and Kate’s mother after The Avengers' New York battle.
