James Gunn Tweets About Galactus Guardians of the Galaxy Fan Theory Circulating Twitter

There are many little nods to existing Marvel franchises in Guardians of the Galaxy. James Gunn has taken the time to nod to other Marvel franchises in his movie to impress fans. But sometimes, a beautiful backdrop is simply enough.

Even though some things will inevitably stand out to fans as they browse through every scene, that doesn't mean it's a nod. Recently, Galactus' birth appeared to be teased in this way.

Galactus in Guardians of the Galaxy

Recently, Twitter users shared a scene that resembled a tease for Galactus. A lot of time and effort is put into making the galaxy look interesting by Marvel and James Gunn. When they look alike, it's usually just a coincidence. As James Gunn puts it:

"millions & millions of comic book panels that exist & the millions & millions of shots in films there is bound to be an enormous amount of coincidental overlap."

But it's not all bad. We got Ego instead. James almost had to go in another direction entirely, but that's an article for another day.

James Gunn tweeted another tweet regarding the possible removal of Ego:

"I think @DavidAyerMovies knows how hard it can be to change an antagonist right before shooting!"

If all goes well, Galactus may show up in the future.
