DOTA 2: Sumail Leaves Quincy Crew

Despite making it through the qualifiers of the DOTA Summit 11, Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan has elected to depart his newfound team Quincy Crew. With the team only having played in the MDL Chengdu qualifiers where they placed fourth - unable to beat Evil Geniuses, Fighting Pepegas or J.Storm to qualify for the major itself, they were forced to fight in the Summit’s qualifiers.

A statement from Jack “KBBQ” Chen - the manager of the team - said that the team was unable to resolve their fit issues. Another offlaner will be sought after to replace him for their journey in the Summit 11.

QC update: we tried to resolve our fit issues, but ultimately weren't able to do so to the point where everyone felt most comfortable and empowered to keep moving forward. @SumaaaaiL will be leaving the roster while we search for an offlaner

Sumail recently departed Evil Geniuses after being their poster child for nearly five years. Despite winning The International in his first year and guaranteeing them their spot in elite level for years, the decision was made to part ways with announcements coming very quickly that Sumail would be reunited with his brother, Yawar "YawaR" Hassan in a new stack by the name of Quincy Crew.

So far, Sumail has not made a statement about his new plans, with some speculation being had about whether or not he’ll find his way into one of the elite European teams that have not played at tournaments yet. The former Liquid stack has been mentioned at places, and with certain leaks indicating that MidOne may not be a part of Team Secret, that is also a possibility.
