Elite Series Rocket League - Grand Final Preview

Nine weeks of intense competition have all come down to this. Two teams defeated the heavy favourites to book their place in the finals. Team Endpoint or Epsilon eSports will be walking away as the champions of Rocket League. Let's take a look at what is set to be a fantastic display of Rocket League esports.

Team Endpoint

Team Endpoint produced one of the biggest upsets of the whole Elite Series when they defeated Team Infused 4-1 in the semi finals. All three players had a fantastic series thanks to Cheerio and Shakharon carving through the defences of their opposition and capitalising with some clinical finishing. Team Endpoint have certainly earned their spot in the grand final. Their ability to switch from offence to defence is exceptional and could be the deciding factor if they are to take down Epsilon.

Epsilon eSports

Epsilon have also beaten some tough opposition to be in the grand finals, defeating Method in a thrilling series that went all the way to a game 7 decider. With a combined 27 goals to their name, Reepex and Alex161 have been playing some excellent Rocket League throughout the Elite Series. If they are to take down Team Endpoint, their defensive plays alongside Data will be crucial to stop them from getting any chance in front of goal.

Predictions

I think that this will be the closest game of Rocket League that we've seen all season. Both teams are coming off the back of huge victories in the semi finals and will be focused on taking home the title of Elite Series champion. Team Endpoint will have to have a very attacking style of play if they are to break the defence of Epsilon but if they commit to an all-out attack, the Epsilon are more than capable of a quick counter attack. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the series does go down to the wire but I think that Epsilon will have the upper hand and take the series.

Prediction: Epsilon 4-2
