A Predator Nightmare Event is on the way to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, and we couldn’t be more excited!
The Apex Predator is coming to Fortnite to hunt players as part of the secret skin.

Release Date
No release date right now, but we’d expect it in a week or so.
We’ll just have to see how the secret skin cosmetics get released as time goes on, as the event will likely tie into the release of the skin!
Event details
So far we don’t know what form the event will take, but some kind of hunting LTM and perhaps a darker island could be expected!
Fortnite has been building Season 5 up quite a lot, so we can’t wait to see what happens next.
Challenges
The first Predator Nightmare Challenges have released!
- Find the Mysterious Pod (It’s in Stealthy Stronghold)
- Talk to Beef Boss, Remedy, and Dummy
- Collect 3 Med Kits
They are all fairly easy and certainly tell a story. The NPCs all can spawn near Stealthy Stronghold and have interacted with the Predator in some way, the Med Kits are useful for Remedy to heal the characters she says have been hurt by some mysterious creature and the Pod is the Predator’s ship from the films!
More challenges are sure to unlock as time goes on so we’ll keep you up to date on those here!
Two New Portals
The first, and directly related, portal will be at Stealth Stronghold according to Fortnite Leaks on Twitter.
This dimensional door is named ‘Nightmare’ and given all the other Predator Information out there, and the significance of Stealthy Stronghold to the character, we suspect that this one will be the portal through which that hunter enters Fortnite.
Though we could also see this being the way Dutch enters Fortnite. The fact that Predator is already on the Island, and that the portal isn’t, suggests that this can’t be the way they arrive. Instead, another character from that universe seems much more likely, especially given how consistent Fortnite has been in the past!
The other one, named ‘Typhoon’ will be near Steamy Stacks and is a little more up in the air right now.
Going on film connections and the fact that Steamy Stacks is the islands energy source, we think this could be Neo or Agent Smith from the Matrix films.
If these characters will tie into the Nightmare event is yet to be seen!
