FIFA 22: Team of the Group Stage Predictions

The FIFA 22 Team of the Group Stage promotion looks set to get underway this week.

The promotion rewards the top performing players from the group stages of each of the three European competitions that are underway this year.

Here are our predictions for those who should feature in the FIFA 22 edition of the Team of the Group Stage.

Robert Lewandowski (93 OVR)

It's been a tough 24 hours for Robert Lewandowski, with the Polish forward finishing runner up in this voting for the 2021 Balon d'Or.

It's not been through a want of trying in the UEFA Champions League though, with last seasons top scorer leading the way in this seasons competition, with nine goals in his first five games.

Cristiano Ronaldo (92 OVR)

Manchester United's recent league form has been questionable, but they have secured themselves a spot in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.

They have Cristiano Ronaldo to thank for that, with the Portuguese forward grabbing six goals in the first five games of this seasons competition, including late heroics against Atalanta and Villarreal.

Thibaut Courtois (90 OVR)

Occupying the spot between the sticks should be Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois.

The big Belgian stopper has conceded just three goals in this seasons UEFA Champions League thus far, keeping three clean sheets in five games.

Riyad Mahrez has been a go-to man for Pep Guardiola in this years group stage, with the Algerian repaying his managers faith with four goals.
