Fortnite update v13.30 is fast approaching, and it seems that the sea levels are going to continue to drop, revealing some interesting additions to the battle royale.
Players have been on the lookout for Atlantis since the Aquaman skins dropped, but we could be in for something else entirely.
Dataminers have found all sorts of wacky new POIs and events, and we can't wait to see how they all fit into the game.
New Ancient Astronaut POI

Dataminer FortTory found the Ancient Astronaut during his trawls through the game data.
The POI seems to be an odd, spherical spaceship which has crash-landed on an island on the Fortnite map.
The location is still currently underwater, but FortTory stripped the water away to reveal the location of the POI.
We can also clearly see the astronaut inside the ship, so maybe they could have something to do with ushering in a new season.
At this stage, we can only guess, but it looks exciting for sure!
Ancient Astronaut Challenges

What's more, the appearance of the Ancient Astronaut comes with its own set of challenges to complete.
We don't know the rewards just yet, but FortTory found the challenges themselves in the code:
- Found Ancient Ship
- Collect Missing Part
- Install Missing Part
- Begin Launch Sequence
- Stop Ship Launch
So, after finding the ship, there seems to be a fetch quest and a launch sequence, but we can't tell why you would stop the launch after beginning it.
Perhaps interlopers interfere, or you find out new information about the Ancient Astronaut and their plans?

Ancient Egypt Assets

The final news from FortTory's leak involves the Coral Buddies' secret challenges.
They are building assets named Stone Age, Pyramid, and Sphinx. The images speak for themselves, aside from the misinterpretation of an Ancient Egyptian palace being from the Stone Age.
We'll forgive the name just because it would be incredibly cool to see an Ancient Egyptian theme come to Fortnite matches.
But how does this tie in with the Ancient Astronaut? Does it at all? These questions will only be answered in time...
