The flood of Biblical proportions has irreversibly changed the Fortnite map, and we couldn't be happier!
Not that we support Midas' evil plan, but this is the most drastic map change since the Black Hole event last year, and should shake up our Battle Royale games nicely!
The wet and wild Season 3 kicks off with a brand new POI, Fortilla.

If you missed The Device event, Midas turned on The Device in a bid to destroy the world. If you missed it, check out our rundown of what happened.
In-game terms, this marks the move to Chapter 2 Season 3, and with a new Season comes drastic new map.
This time around, the new map includes a cool new POI location called Fortilla!

What Is The Fortilla?
Fortilla is a brand-new POI for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3, and looks to be a hotbed of action.
As well as looking like some kind of floating pirate shanty town built from debris, Fortilla will serve the same function as The Agency did last season.
That is to say, it'll be the "base" that players see in their menu screen.
We're also hearing that it will include a "Builder Brother", which allows you to customise your glider.
The verticality of Fortilla will make for really interesting fights, so expect this POI to be a hot drop in the early days of Season 3.

Where Is The Fortilla?

The Fortilla is located in the southwesterly corner of the Season 3 map, floating in an ocean of Midas' creation.
You can check out the whole new map above, thanks to dataminer Lucas7yoshi on Twitter.
The location looks to be a bit out of the way for navigating the storm well - if it's even a storm this season - but we all remember how popular Slurpy Swamps was, and Fortilla looks to be a similar distance from the centre of the map.
Just be careful when dropping in if the flight path goes too close - this POI will be busy for sure!
Where To Land And Best Loot
You're best off landing in the central building/island, as it seems to have the most gold chests spawning there.
However, you'll be at the centre of the action, so be aware of opponents when dropping centrally.
The biggest island - the one with the large building, a factory-looking thing - also offers some great loot, and might be worth a shot.
Depending on what the rest of your team are doing, one tactic could be to drop at the nearby Rickety Rig to load up on guns before heading to The Fortilla, but you'll likely be underarmed and all the best loot will be gone by the time you arrive.
Plus, if you can't find a boat, it's a long old swim.

Tips And Tricks
Speaking of water-borne vessels, finding a boat is key to beating the storm when landing this far away from the centre of the map - you don't want to die outside the circle.
We've also heard lots about riding a shark, although we've been unable to do so thus far, we're excited to make a slick getaway utilising nature's boat.
Don't forget to harvest plenty of materials so you can build higher and get to top floors and rooves quickly. Listen out for gold chests to fill your pockets with the highest tier loot.
